Winter Storm Information and Requests from EMA

Legislative & Regulatory,

On behalf of the Energy Marketers of America (EMA), states affected by the winter storm Fern have been asked to assist with daily coordination and information gathering. EMA communicates at least once each day with multiple state and federal agencies, and real-time feedback from members is critical to ensuring industry conditions are accurately represented in these discussions.

Unless there is nothing new to report, IFFA respectfully asks that you provide the following information daily so it can be shared with EMA:

  1. General status in your area, including fuel backlogs, supply challenges, and any station or terminal closures.
  2. Requests or unresolved issues, including:
  • Additional waivers or extensions needed
  • Security needs, such as driver escorts
  • Incorrect ticketing is occurring in “pass-through” states
  • Requests you have made at the state level that have not yet been addressed

Additional information for IFFA members:

  • State road closures, including contact websites and phone numbers: CLICK HERE
  • Real-time power outage information, you may also visit: https://poweroutage.us

Your input allows IFFA to assist EMA in effectively advocating for the industry during these emergency conditions. Please reach out if you have questions or need assistance
