IDEM Seeks Feedback on Professional Licensing Regulations
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) is seeking public input on the requirements for the state licenses it regulates, including: drinking water operators; wastewater operators; asbestos inspectors, management planners, project designers/supervisors, workers, and asbestos abatement contractors; underground storage tank (UST) operators (Class A/B/C); UST workers; and solid waste operators (Categories I/II/III). In accordance with Executive Order 25-18, all Indiana state agencies must review the occupational licenses and regulations within their respective jurisdictions. Additional information and a list of relevant licenses by name are available online.
Please submit any comments to Efficiency@idem.IN.gov by June 30, 2026. IDEM will review all feedback for potential rule amendments or recommendations to the General Assembly for statutory changes.
