Event Details

Do you operate commercial motor vehicles regulated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration? Then your fleet maintenance records, driver files, and logs are subject to a U. S. DOT review at any time.

Join Jonathan Burkert, owner of Safety Department Specialists, for a practical session designed to help you prepare for an audit and understand what inspectors will look for when reviewing your fleet and driver records. He’ll share processes, best practices, and common compliance issues to help identify gaps and ensure your records are audit-ready

Jonathan has extensive experience helping motor carriers improve safety performance, strengthen compliance programs, and prepare for regulatory audits. His expertise includes FMCSA compliance, driver qualification management, training programs, DOT and OSHA audits, drug and alcohol program administration, accident investigation, corrective action planning, and hazardous materials transportation.

Throughout his career, Jonathan has developed driver training programs, implemented fleet-wide safety initiatives, rebuilt safety departments, and guided carriers of all sizes through compliance challenges.

Known for his practical, real-world approach, he works closely with company leadership and drivers to create sustainable safety cultures that reduce risk, improve operational performance, and protect businesses from costly violations.

Jonathan's mission is simple: help transportation companies operate safer, stay compliant, and build programs that support long-term success.
